Sprayer tank for small unmanned aerial vehicles

Small (1 gallon) spray tank for dispensing metered amounts of liquid from a UAV.  Sprayer system can be used in agricultural applications to dispense small metered amounts of pesticides, or to reduces the amount of pesticides used during crop management. Spray tank system useful for Ultra Low Volume (ULV) aerial spraying. Other uses include dispensing herbicides on specific target plants during invasive plant management in sensitive environments. The tank can be triggered either from the operator or from the vehicle's autopilot system.

Tank specifications:

  • 1 gallon capacity (2 gallon and 3 gallon models available)
  • Multiple tanks may be 'ganged' together for larger liquid payloads
  • 200 psi max operating pressure
  • can be configured in two ways
    • Pressure regulated blowdown (same amount of liquid dispensed regardless of liquid level)
    • Blowdown operation (lower cost and weight for applications where precise amounts of liquid are not needed)
  • 12.5 lb operational weight (pressure regulated configuration, 1 gallon of water)
  • Can be filled and drained on the ground without the operator touching the liquid payload
